Is it cheaper to get a suit made in Hanoi or Phuket?
Hanoi is cheaper for genuinely well-made work: $200–$600 for half/full-canvas versus $350–$700 in Phuket. Old Quarter silk-and-suit shops for tourists; a quieter domestic bespoke scene for residents. Prices near Hoi An, selection thinner.
Hanoi or Phuket — where is the suit quality better?
Hanoi: mixed market — fused common, canvas exists — Tourist shops fuse; a small set of domestic bespoke tailors do canvassed work, mostly serving Hanoi professionals. Phuket: fused (glued) is the default — Resort-strip shops fuse almost universally; a couple of Patong/Kata names do passable half-canvas on request.
