What BOSS publishes
- The size chart is a conversion table, not a measurement chart. The modal is titled "BOSS — MENSWEAR CLOTHING" and contains no chest, waist, sleeve or inseam measurement in any unit. A buyer who knows their own chest measurement cannot use it to pick a size.1
- It is reachable only from inside the size selector on a product page, not from a standalone size-guide URL, and the product page prints "Sizes shown are standard to your country" above the size list — an acknowledgement that the chart is about labels.1
- The chart opens with a control almost nobody explains in English: "SELECT YOUR BODY FIT: regular / long / stocky." Each option produces an entirely different number series — the three German ready-to-wear grids.1
- Regular grid: EU 44 / 46 / 48 / 50 / 52 / 54 / 56 / 58 / 60 against US and UK 34R / 36R / 38R / 40R / 42R / 44R / 46R / 48R / 50R. Long grid: EU 88 / 90 / 94 / 98 / 102 / 106 / 110 / 114 against US 34L–48L. Stocky grid: EU 23–28 against US 36E–46E.1
- So a European BOSS label reading "98" is not a chest in centimetres and is not bigger than "50" — it is the long grid, and it converts to a US 40L. A label reading "25" is the stocky grid, a US 40E. Anyone reading a BOSS label bought in Europe, or buying BOSS secondhand, will misread it without this table.1
- The US column uses an E suffix for the stocky grid while the Canada-FR column uses S for the same garments. Reported as shown; no inference drawn about what E stands for. The regular table also lists XXXL twice, at EU 56 and EU 58 — an inconsistency in the brand's own published table.1

Does it run small or large?

- The honest consequence: because BOSS publishes no body measurement, there is no arithmetic a buyer can do to check a run-small claim. The only in-page number is the 29" back length.1
If you get the size wrong
- "We are pleased to offer a 30 day return period for new, unworn, unwashed, unaltered merchandise in resalable condition with original tags attached", with returns "within 30 days of the delivery date" eligible for a full refund.3
- Return postage is free and prepaid via UPS, with the constraint that "to use our prepaid UPS labels shipments must be sent from the United States".3
- "Unaltered" is the load-bearing word. Once a tailor cuts a BOSS suit, the 30 days are academic — the same rule appears at J.Crew and Macy's. Settle the size before the tailor, not after.3
